I want to let you know about a new online project my longtime friend Margaret Roach and I are about to debut. Please share this email with your friends and fellow gardeners who would be interested in this opportunity.
Our readers and lecture attendees have routinely asked us to create some kind of inner circle for gardeners who want more advice, encouragement, and camaraderie—and answers to their gardening questions.
We’re excited to announce that it’s finally happening.
We are teaming up to create The Virtual Garden Club — a three-month program featuring:
- Six live classes, where we will share our best, timely advice based on decades of experience
- One of our most popular lectures (Gardening for the Birds), pre-recorded, to watch at your convenience
- Monthly to-do lists for greater focus and success
- A total of four hours of group Q&A time within those six classes, where Margaret and I will help you work through your questions—the way we have been answering each other’s for decades
You can learn more with the link below

Please spread the word to friends and better yet, join us for our first-ever garden club season—hopefully the first of many.
Thanks,
Ken

Ken, you mentioned in your virtual garden club that you could not find chicken grit in big bags anymore. In case it wasn’t already mentioned, I can buy big bags (18lbs) of plain chicken grit at Tractor Supply Company. I think there are a lot of these stores around- even in your area. I am optimistic you will find it! Thanks for a great virtual garden club!

I got the grit from Tractor Supply. It looks diffrrrnet than any I’ve seen before, but it will do the trick.
Thanks.

I went to the last Agway in the area — about 35 minutes away, and to my surprise, they had fifty pound bags of the white granite in two sizes. I bought one of each. That’s a lifetime+ supply. I could use the small, but I might use the large size to sprinkle on the ice under my car tires. I got the Tractor Supply pink granite, as well. Thanks, Ken
