Margaret Roach is the former Editorial director of Martha Stewart Omnimedia and editor-in-chief of the flagship magazine. In 2007, Margaret stepped down from her esteemed position and moved full-time to her garden in upstate, New York. Her book, and I shall have some peace there, chronicles her transition from City girl to countrywoman and all that that entails – the joys of natural 
discoveries, the fears, the adjustments: economic, snakes, lightening, and ultimately, becoming a “cat person” thanks to Jack who also moved to the house (and into her heart).
Along the way, Margaret shares gardening advice, experience, and plenty of humor in her unique writing style with parenthetical asides (I’m warning you – you’ll laugh out loud).
