Designer, Clients and High-rise Plants
We’ve talked about choosing a garden designer on the show
before, but we haven’t talked about “choosing” or knowing what makes a good
client. Designer Bill Fidelo creates gardens in the New York City area – some
on the ground in townhouse backyards, and sometimes up in the air. We talk with
Bill about what makes a good client experience (most of his have been great),
and what doesn’t.
We mention Bill’s hypertufa troughs (below left) –
artificial tufa rock planters made from concrete – that Bill used for one of
his most satisfying jobs (above). And we touch on new products he is using for
“live roofs” – planted
succulent modules (below right) grown by a wholesale
nursery, Prides Corner Farms in Lebanon, Connecticut. Bill can be contacted via
e-mail: bill@billsgardens.com.
