Some Call it Lawn
I don’t think of the mix of grasses, farm and broadleaf
weeds as a conventional lawn in the golf-course sense of the word. But I don’t have
anything against clover, either. Having a perfect putting-green swath simply
does not interest me. I call the turf in New Jersey(above) a “cropped meadow.” I’ve
never fed or even watered it. But I'd like to see if an organic humus-building
fertilizer could improve the health of the short green plants, and even more,
the soil they grow in. So, I am going to try something the guest on this week’s
show tells me about. It’s a new fertilizer from Converted Organics made
of plant waste and other heat-composted materials.
I think I will do a test patch and see what happens.
