This next photograph of Vicki’s (click on the image to view a larger version
in a separate window) illustrates just how tiny some of her favorite
miniature daffodils are. Jonquilla simplex is slightly smaller
than a Johnny Jump-Up, while the floriforous ‘Sundisc,’ (left of the
small bowl, at top) and dainty ‘Hawera’ are slightly larger.
We also talked about two other heirlooms, Double Campernelle available from Old House Gardens as well as ‘Thalia,‘ a gorgeous, pure white narcissus.
Brent and Becky’s Bulbs is another excellent source for daffodils.
